How it grades: spelling is deliberately loose — G/K, D/T, B/P and R/L are the same letters in hangul, so GOGI / KOKI both count, and EO/O mix-ups are forgiven. If you type a different real word, it tells you what you actually said. Getting a card right marks it learned and feeds it into 🔁 Review. Korean pronunciation lives in the vowels and double consonants that letters can't fully capture, so press 🔊 and repeat out loud every time.

The verb goes LAST

Korean is subject–object–verb. JEO-NEUN BIBIMBAP MEOKGO SIPEOYO = I – bibimbap – want-to-eat. Once you feel this order, sentences start building themselves — the Builder game drills exactly this.

-YO = polite, and safe everywhere

Every phrase in this app ends in -YO — the standard polite form. It's correct with strangers, waiters, taxi drivers, everyone. The extra-formal -SEUMNIDA (KAMSAHAMNIDA) you'll hear in announcements and from staff being polite to YOU.

Particles — the little tags

-EUN / -NEUN	topic marker — JEO-NEUN = as for me…
-I / -GA	subject marker

Beginners can drop them in casual speech and still be understood — Koreans do it too.

TWO number systems (really)

Sino-Korean (IL, I, SAM…) for money, dates, phone numbers — this is the 🔢 Numbers game. Native Korean (HANA, DUL, SET…) for counting things and age. Ordering = native number + counter: SOJU HAN BYEONG (soju one-bottle), MAEKJU DU JAN (beer two-glass).
